The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) has officially transferred the World Bank-funded Fisheries College and Regional Center of Excellence to the University of Liberia (UL). The handover ceremony marks a significant milestone in strengthening Liberia’s fisheries education and research capabilities.
The college, constructed under the West Africa Regional Fisheries Program (WARFP) and funded by the World Bank, aims to enhance human capacity development in fisheries and aquaculture. It is expected to provide advanced training and research opportunities for students and professionals in the sector.
