The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has affirmed that candidates are permitted to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) anywhere in Nigeria, regardless of their state of registration.
This clarification was issued to counter a misleading report suggesting otherwise. In a statement on Wednesday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, dismissed the claim as false and potentially misleading for candidates preparing for the exam.
