Nigeria has reaffirmed its dedication to ending hunger and advancing education with the relaunch of the Renewed Hope National Home Grown School Feeding Programme. This ambitious initiative was announced by Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), during a G20 side event in Brazil.
The feeding programme, set to commence in November 2024, aims to provide 20 million children with nutritious meals annually. Designed to boost educational outcomes and reduce child hunger, the scheme also supports local farmers and strengthens Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.
