The Kano State Government has reiterated its dedication to providing adequate and nutritious food to boarding schools across the state. This assurance was made by the State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, during an interactive meeting with principals of boarding schools and food contractors.
Dr. Makoda highlighted the government’s significant progress in its school feeding program, including prompt payment to food contractors for the 39 boarding schools. Notably, the government has increased the food price rate by 82% to enhance the quality and quantity of food provided to students ¹.
