The Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Olufemi Peters, has declared that Open and Distance Learning (ODL) is the future of education globally. Speaking at the 27th Matriculation Ceremony, which was held both virtually and physically at various NOUN study centres across the country, Peters welcomed the new students and underscored the transformative potential of ODL in bridging gaps to quality education.
“Our mode of education empowers students to learn at their own pace, balancing education with work and family responsibilities,” Peters remarked. “NOUN is bridging the gap in access to quality higher education, ensuring inclusivity for all Nigerians, regardless of age, location, or circumstance.”
