The Nigerian government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China to enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the country. This partnership aims to equip Nigerians with practical skills, improve technical education, and expand vocational training nationwide.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, during an event attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo. Speaking at the event, Dr. Sani-Gwarzo emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating that it would strengthen Nigeria’s technical capacity and ensure the practical application of acquired knowledge.
